Difference between Mac OS X Snow Lepoard and Mac OS X Lion operating system
When you purchase any Mac it generally comes with various software, this is often already included within the operating system. Two of the software options available include Mac OS X Snow Leopard and the Mac OS X Lion operating system.
The Mac OS X Snow Leopard is the 10.6 operating version whist Mac OS X Lion operating system comes in at 10.7. The changes in quality are however not apparent and that is mainly because they haven’t changed the aesthetics at all, they have however changed the core of the system.
Snow Leopard is able to take advantage of the processing power that is now available since Apple moved to PC architecture. This means that multi core processing and high amounts of RAM have been largely untapped with the Mac OS X Snow Leopard version. Apple made this move in order to uncap this power.
This certainly means that the Mac OS X Snow Leopard version is a lot faster, however this speed doesn’t tend to translate in programs used by Mac such as Photoshop for example.
The Mac OS X Lion operating system offers software that is a step up from the Mac OS Snow Leopard operating system and such software allow the user to experience an even faster program. It offers a more touch screen experience that is similar to that achieved on the iPhone, users are therefore able to scroll through menus quickly and accurately.
This is a much quicker way of accessing files, searching through music, sharing pictures, looking through images and moving contents around, so that they appear at a place that is suitable to the user.
The Mac OS Lion operating system is certainly one of the more contemporary software options available on the market today and is an investment to any Mac fan!
